Dr. Abby Perkiss is interested on the history of race, ethnicity and urban identity in post-WWII America. In particular, she's interested in how people have understood what cities should be about and how different ethnic groups should interact within them. At Newman, Perkiss will share her research about how racial integration worked (or didn't) in post-World War II Philadelphia.
The talk will begin at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, 11 February, in the Conference Center at the Dugan-Gorges Library on the campus of Newman University. The lecture will go for about 45 minutes followed by questions from the audience.

Location: Dugan-Gorges Conference Center
